Diseases like ebola are jumping the species barrier & threatening the world. They show why the war against viruses is heating up as diseases are becoming more prevalent because humans & animals are in ever closer contact, while greater travel connections make it easier for outbreaks to spread around the world. While ebola will eventually burn out, we may not be that lucky with the next one... What’s next?...

For this story, we created a photographic treatment with pathogenic cultures affecting our title, encasedin a petri dish, looking ominously & somehow close to growing over its boundaries.
