The brief for this young adult psychological thriller cover was to create a dramatic type-led photo-illustration based on a key scene of the story about an event taking place around a lit bonfire where youngsters get caught into some dark and dangerous revenge game. To achieve this, we photographed a large overhead plate of wild field ground on the edge of a nearby forest, which we brought into a 3D environment for a highly detailed composition - then integrated photogrammetric twigs & rocks to create the typographic elements, seamlessly tying everything together into our scene with an ominous fiery lighting.
