This piece is part of an original photographic series of personal work staging athletes. The idea was to show motion, emotion & dynamic viewpoints by integrating special effects in the images to enhance the energetic ethos.

For the Gymnast, the flow of water frozen at high speed was used to interact with her natural movement to produce a unique stylistic effect. Completely photographic, the image was shot in two separate stages - the athlete & the water swirls - composited as an illustration to create a delicate & surreal artwork.
